Engaging the World of Virtual Reality with ASUS at EGE2016

The ASUS brand stands for innovation and creativity in the computer and electronics industry. Translating these qualities was the main focus when we started designing how they would be represented at the 2016 Electronics & Gaming Expo held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The two design elements key to the success of the activation where the virtual reality gaming area and the retail space. The dual functionality of the display encouraged users to interact and engage with the brand and its products, as well as have the opportunity to make purchases within the same space.

The modern high tech environment that the brand exists in was brought to life by using angular structures, a black satin finish, and LED lighting.

The layout and geometry of the design created a structured flow in the space, which mimicked the look of a gaming motherboard. This faceted design approach successfully integrated an interactive activation and a unique pop-up shop, which emphasised the strength of the brand as a leader in high tech gaming equipment.
